Total Eclipse of the Collections
The phenomenon of an eclipse has always sparked intrigue and fascination. Many early civilizations saw eclipses as a sign of impending doom. They have inspired medieval mathematicians to calculate the movement of celestial objects and predict future occurrences.
Special Collections Showcase February 2024

The All Access Bookclub: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
Beginning in January 2024, the Princeton Public Library and Special Collections at Princeton University Library launched a book club together for the first time. Called “All Access,” every six weeks, the club reads a book chosen by Princeton Public Library staff.
A Standing Bear from the Vault
Published in 1928, this book is one of the first published about Indigenous people, written by an Indigenous person. Princeton University Library’s copy is inscribed by the author, with a wonderful drawing of a standing bear.
